Here I Go Again....

Here I go again, my second tirade in the last week or so.....

Why do people get animals and NOT take care of them??!! A stray dog has been hanging around the house for a while. Tried to run him off a few times but I guess he decided he liked it here. After a few days he was looking very thin so we fed him. I know, I know, big mistake but we weren't going to let him starve. I'm not sure what kind he is but he kinda looks like a minature doberman and he's still just a pup. Anyhow, him and my smallest dog are at it constantly playing and fighting and it's driving us crazy, so I took his picture and put it on the bulliten board at the Post Office. The next day a lady called and said someone told her that a friend had seen the picture of her dog and told her about it. Then she said that she was disabled and couldn't chase after him, so if I didn't want him I could just take him to the pound!!! WTF is wrong with people??? I was so pissed but I didn't go off on her, I just said thanks and hung up. Now I'm trying to find him a good home because there is no way I would take him to the pound. Needless to say, he's still here aggrevating the out of us!!! I'll find him a home soon I hope......

That sort of crap happens all the time.. I would take pictures to the local vets and ask them if they can place him on Petfinder.com. I don't know how it is in WV, but in Florida any doberman, pittbull, chow or shar pei mix dog are euthanized and NOT put up for adoption.

I don't think you can put up an ad on petfinder.com yourself, but you will have a friendly vet tech that can help you.. If you can't find one.. I can send you to my contact down here so we can find the poochie a good home.

I hate that bullshit... animals rule (especially dogs) and for people to just blatantly neglect them like that really lights a fire under my ass! I don't care if it's a little kid kicking a dog or pulling a cat's tail, it still pisses me off to no end.

The reason I have really come to hate the way some people treat animals is from personal experience. When my dog Princess got knocked up, she had 9 of the greatest puppies (the deadbeat dad was a black lab) I've ever seen, and I fell in love with every one of them. One by one, we gave them away until we were down to one (we pre-named them) and we attempted to give Ruff away.

Needless to say, we didn't give Ruff away and we kept him. (He's such a mama's boy.) Anyway... he was out in our backyard one day minding his own fucking business and the former neighbor kids (these kids were of Mid-East decent, where I don't think they respect dogs) next door thought it would be funny to drag sticks along the fence and throw gravels at him through the fence... I heard him yelping and almost crying... keep in mind he was still a puppy... so I went outside, ran after those little sons-of-bitches and told them (and I promise you I said this) :"I WILL SACRIFICE YOU LITTLE SHITS TO WHATEVER GOD IT IS YOU BELIEVE IN!" So, after the little dickheads ran inside screaming and me laughing at them, I had to comfort Ruff and calm him down. Their stupid mother comes out and starts yelling at me in her native tongue. I said, "Bitch, I speak English." She then yelled at me in garbled English and I finally told her: "Your damn kids were teasing and tormenting my puppy... and I have every right to scare them away from him. Now, fuck off."

Needless to say, Ruff hates little kids and so do I. I don't want kids.

However, back to topic: I hope you find that dog a home... I hate when horseshit like that happens. You are a better man than me, Smittee, for not saying anything to that old woman. I would have flipped the fuck out over her saying what she said.

Hey Smittee! Thanks for taking care of the pup! You're awesome! I love dogs and it pisses me off when people don't take care of them. I can't believe the owner made it your responsibility to find a home for the dog. What a douche!
