This is a GREAT blog I found from a WVU fan on the Sporting News site. Enjoy! If you like it, I recommend dropping this fellow a note on his TSN blog page. Maybe he'll decide to join us at MN.net. I have no idea who wrote this...

A West Virginia Mountaineer's Thanksgiving
Nov 20, 2007 10:26 AM | 184 views
I am thankful to former Coach Don Nehlen for the unique “flying WV” insignia, the great program he built for 20 years, and the memorable wins he engineered. Thanks for the memories, Don!
I am thankful ESPN’s Lee Corso was never selected for the West Virginia coaching vacancy that Don Nehlen accepted!
I am thankful for ESPN’s Thursday night football games that have shown the country what we already know: the West Virginia Mountaineers are America’s newest football power and the most exciting program in the country!
I am thankful for Coach Rich Rodriquez, who has taken our Mountaineer football program to a level many of us long-time fans could only imagine!
I am thankful for Coach Rodriquez, a great coach and a proud West Virginian, who stayed true to his roots and is still here on this Thanksgiving, instead of feasting on turkey in Alabama.
I am thankful for Steve Slaton, unquestionably the greatest running back in West Virginia football history!
I am thankful for Patrick White, a magician with a football, who has won more games than any other starting quarterback in West Virginia history!
I am thankful for Owen Schmitt, a humble, blue collar guy who worked his way to the top and has epitomized the hard working, dedicated, and tenacious spirit of the state of West Virginia and Mountaineer fans everywhere!
I am thankful for Darius Reynaud, an extremely gifted and largely unheralded athlete, whose endless contributions make the Mountaineers as great as they are!
I am thankful for a magical and exciting college football season, that may yet fulfill the dreams and wishes of every Mountaineer fan!
I am thankful for every player, the starters and back-ups, the scout team players and every coach who makes our team successful and proudly represents the West Virginia Mountaineers!
I am thankful for Louisville, Cincinnati, Connecticut, and South Florida (By the way, Leavitt, we owe you a couple!), who have performed admirably in the Big East Conference, replacing the whiny and arrogant misfits who left for the ACC. Thanks for taking the Big East to new levels of success never reached with the three stooges who went to that prominent basketball conference.
I am thankful for Virginia Tech and Boston College, who didn’t contribute all that much to the Big East, because they took their meager sports programs to a conference in which their football teams can adequately compete.
I am thankful to Miami, whose great football success brought some early prominence to the Big East Conference, for realizing that their talent was fully depleted and that their days of greatness were over. I must give them credit for knowing when to look for the door. Thanks for recognizing this fact and leaving before you embarrassed our conference also.
I am thankful for Coach Bob Huggins, a proud West Virginian and a proven winner, who thinks it’s an honor to coach the Mountaineer basketball team, instead of a coach who is always looking for the next position elsewhere. Welcome home, Huggs!
I am thankful to Mountaineer great, Jerry West, a legend on and off the basketball court. The NBA has not been the same since your retirement! You have been a man who has quietly and humbly brought prominence to the state and WVU basketball. You helped steer Bob Huggins to Morgantown and trusted your son to the Mountaineer basketball program!
I am thankful to all the Mountaineer fans, who proudly love and support our teams and provide a heart and spirit that is unmatched throughout the world of college athletics!
I am thankful to Ed Pastilong, whose athletic department leadership has brought us some great coaches and outstanding facilities.
I am thankful for a good job, that pays me enough to feed, clothe, and house my undeserved and wonderful family and also affords me a seat at Mountaineer Field.
I am thankful for every member of the military, past and present, who have given us the freedom to pursue the ultimately meaningless games that take place on the court or the gridiron.
I am thankful that, as much as I love them, football and basketball do not really matter that much when placed against the health and security of our friends and loved ones!
I am thankful to the Lord, Who made all of this Mountaineer's many blessings possible!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
