President Ahmandinejad of Iran wanted to visit the WTC site to lay a wreath. Would you have let him?
I will reply later.

As far as I know, the Iranian government wasn't behind the 9/11 terror attacks. If the President of Iran wishes to pay respects to the Americans who lost their lives, I say let it happen. If it's to honor the terrorists who died on the soil, I say bring him here and execute him on the soil his 'heros' died upon. Iran isn't really high up on American's "best buddy" list, so this could be a nice gesture to strengthen talks with Iran.

No they arent responsible for the attacks My main concern is his and his countries ability to build nukes and there lack of willingness to stop building them.

I agree with Doug here. There is no evidence of Iranian ties with the terrorists that were involved with the attrocities of 9/11.
Perhaps this was an olive branch sort of jesture.. This is a pick and chose your battles situation. Yes.. let him do that.. NO Don't let him make nukes..
I am all for diplomacy and being peaceful when possible. I loved the philosophy of speak softly but carry a big stick.

My thoughts were this. If we allow someone into our country then treat them like they were in Russia (Cold War era) then what does that prove. If we are trying to instill freedom in other countries, then we must follow the rules that freedom bestows.

Listen if there people from Iran in the Towers than I have no problem!! But I have a real problem with the world right now!! If my kids act like some of these contries they would have real problems!! You can't act like they are all well and good!! I still remember seeing the American Hostages in the late 70's on the TV everynight!!! Everyone forgets about them but what about their freedom? Shouldn't we still remeber them right along with the victims of 9/11? I guess I'm a little like Patton! Like he said about the Russians "We have the army here, lets take them out now"!! I really have a old school view on the world!! I guess my grandpa put that into me but its a simple view and I like that!! I have no problem with freedom if YOUR AMERICAN!!!

They should have listened to Patton and there would be less problems today.
