Ok I know that the draft is over and done with but we were still talking about it!! How can you really rank a player today? What he does in college? How big he is? His personality? All those things have to go into what teams look at!! But today I think teams look at the college coach to get a lot of answers. Look at the schools that had kids drafted high in the draft. Michigan with Lloyd Carr, USC Pete Carroll, and Ohio State with Jim Tressel. All head coachs that even though I hate to say but have good programs. Even if I believe Pete Carroll and USC pay there players. NFL teams look to these coaches and ask questions about the player and would he be a good fit!! What got us talking about this was how in the hell could a NFL talk to Rich Rodriguez about a player when the guy lies about everything else. Also the NFL looks for players to fit into there system and right now NO ONE is running the spread offense. So a player like lets say Pat White will be handicapped becase he was in a system that no one in the NFL is using and his Draft Stock will drop!! Also if it is proven that Rich pulled the plug on the Pitt before we hit the field. Can the players sue the head coach for hindering their Draft Status!! These are some of the things that I sit here in the dark basement thinking about!! Just some thoughts!!
