It's been quite a week for me. Big storms in Atlanta fried my computer Monday night. So Tues. eve I give it to my neighbor (whose a computer whiz) for a quick fix. Should have been fixed by Thur. (maybe it was). Before I could check on that I got a call from my daughter in Charlotte. She was on her way to the hospital (good thing) a new grand child was on the way. Gail and I packed some clothes and headed for Charlotte. Arrived at the hospital about midnight. After a few false alarms the little one made his appearance.
Tyler Steven Searcy born 8/1/2008 weighed 7' 7" and was 20" tall (I say tall although he currently stay in a prone position).
Mother and son came home Sunday morn. Everything in perfect shape.
Gail stayed to help the new mother but I headed home Monday. Today I find out my neighbor got called out of town work related and won't be back till Friday.
Maybe I'll have a computer by the weekend.

Larry..
Sorry about the Computer woes.. But ROCK ON and Congrats about the new grandbaby. New babies are always such a wonderful blessing. One of the things that I love that my hospital does.. It may sound a little corny.. But they play Twinkle Twinke Little Star over the hospital PA system every time a baby is born in the hospital.
Sometimes hospitals aren't the happiest places and people are sick and may even be dying.. but most people get a little lift in their hearts when they are reminded that a new little person has entered this world even in the most trying of situations..
Congrats Larry and may blessings fall to you and your family!

I don't honestly know.. I can ask the OB people tomorrow..
Our Hospital is not the Women's and Childrens Hospital of our city (we're more the ghetto trauma center and a top notch cancer center and Stroke center so we get all the nasty stuff) but our OB staff,Docs and birthing rooms are top notch.. so we still get a ton of deliveries..
I've personally heard it 9 times in an 8 hour shift, and on a few occsions its back to back so its twins!
