*hint* Think chronologically; people who have passed for more than 2000 yard passing in a season at WVU. Who did it first? You guys are really close.

You guys have mentioned every name on this list of past quarterbacks - that you guys even posted a link to the record book - who have thrown for 2000 yards in a season except this person. He did it in 1972 which was the first time it happened at WVU. Please don't give up now.

When Bernie Galiffa passed for 194 yards in a 50-24 thrashing of Virginia Military Institute on November 11, 1972, his season total through 10 games of the 1972 season reached 2,045 yards, making him the first quarterback in Mountaineer football history to throw for more than 2,000 yards in a single season. Galiffa finished the 1972 campaign with 2,496 yards through the air, which through the 2007 season still ranks second all-time in West Virginia football history to Marc Bulger's 3,607 yards in 1998.
