I totally lost interest in baseball back when the players did the strike and I haven't looked back since.

I'd rather watch the Little League World Series than MLB.....college girls softball is enjoyable to watch too

I'm like you MJ and lost interest after the greedy bastards cancelled the World Series due to that aspect. I don't watch baseball at all anymore. Besides, I'm still a Pirate fan and they just plain SUCK for years! Baseball is hard to get into when you add all this together.

I agree with most of the comments here. I love the game and still play competitive softball. But I stopped following MLB when the greed factor overtook the game and they decided they didn't want to have a level playing field like other sports. I don't resent players getting what they can, but come on. A quarter of a billion dollars (ARod) to one player for playing baseball? Are you kidding me? $8.50 for a warm beer? Are you kidding me?

Few things are better than taking in a afternoon game @ Wrigley. Other than that...my passion is fading quickly.
