My neighbor is gone.. Her hubby works contract in Iraq and she hasn't been at the house for a good 6 weeks.. someone comes by to pick up the mail.. but the grass is getting way way high .. I have 2 teenage boys that could do it for free,, Do you cut the neighbors grass or would they take offense?

If it were me and it was a good friend I would cut it. The high grass makes it a target for burglury or vandalism.

Just do it, and if they ask, then tell them. If they don't ask, then they'll just think a good samaritan did it for them (or a psycho.)
Tough call on this one...

maybe you could ask the person who picks up her mail if they think it would be ok
