There is a poster on the ESPN board who always seems to have the scoop on WVU news. He was right about Fisher til WVU screwed that up. He is now saying that Nick Saban will be announced as the new Head Coach on the 4th of Jan.
The timing for the announcement is so that the players will not be distracted. What are your feelings on this?

Nick Saban isnt coming, if you can believe Gov. Manchin who has stated via a radio show in Alabama that Nick is not interested in coming to WV. I dont believe it either.

West Virginia’s coaching search isn’t taking tomorrow’s holiday off, but it may well take a few extra days to finish.
Sources said Mountaineers’ administrators this past weekend were looking into procuring, if they hadn’t already hired, the services of an unspecified consulting firm to help them complete their search for Rich Rodriguez’s replacement.
Such a firm contacts prospective candidates, gauges their interest in vacancies, then assists in arranging interviews between the parties, conducting background checks and potentially hiring a new coach.

I really think its hard to believe that Saban can come to WVU. We can't afford him and I don't know if we really would want him. I'm also concerned from cviller's last post that they've hired a consultig firm.. Thats a LOT of money better on offering a coach the stuff we can offer a coach.
I hope these 'sources; are wrong, but my radar has been off since Rod bolted for Michigan ..
Personally, I would like Stewart to get the opportunity to coach.. He was THROWN into a situation with bewildered players and has seemed to guide them to focusing on the game. He also seems to want the job, in a "pinch me, am I dreaming" situation of where he is NOW.
Stewart is an unknown, but I agree with Ray.. He deservs a looksee and consideration.

No, please.......not Nick Saban. Of all of the candidates I've heard, he was my least favorite. The guy just seems slimey to me.

I don't believe it either, but wouldn't that be poetic justice for us to stick it to Alabama ? I would like to see the look on their AD's face if Sabin bolted. I would take him for the right price ,not 4 million and if he bolts he bolts. At least you know he's a slime. Its the one's you don't know are slimes that break your hearts.

Well said Bob. At least we know he's a liar. Still don't want him though.
