Here is an blurp of what this guy responded to some of the email: don’t give me this line about it being West Virginia and somehow West Virginians have some sort of toughness and honor that no outsider could comprehend. Everyone from every state thinks that way. You’re proud of where you’re from. So are Iowans and New Yorkers and Hawaiians and Californians. The excitement is fine, but you can’t thump your chest with this “you wouldn’t understand it” state pride and then keep complaining that it’s a rough place to live. You can’t have it both ways.
I guess the media and especially this guy will never get it, All it is about RESPECT and the perception other people have of our fellow mountaineers.

So let's say he is correct about Iowans and New Yorkers and Hawaiians and Californians. But do all the other states have to put up with the jokes and snotty ass comments that West Virinias do? So all other states go through and identity as a slow state and one that is like an outsider? This guy needs a new job for he is clueless and probably believes Rod and his lies!!!!

I read an article by this guy last year and he is a total dolt. I really can't remember the details of the article but some troll posted it over on Sportsline and it was pure garbage.

One should walk a mile in someone's shoes before they make accusations. It really doesn't have anything to do with the stereotyped character of West Virginians. People need to look at the facts and not that it is West Virginia.
True some big time coaches have quit and left bad feelings from former supporters in their wake. Nick Saban comes to mind when he left out of LSU to coach the Miami Dolphins. LSU was hot at the time and people were frustrated. But, Nick graduated from Kent State. Bobby Petrino did the same to University of Louisville to coach The Falcons in Atlanta. People were stunned by that one too. But he left after the Cardinals beat Wake Forrest in the Orange Bowl to make his move. Petrino's alma mater is Carroll College so these situations are apple/oranges comparisons against Fraudriquez/WVU.
Let's try this then, in 2002 when Steve Spurrier abruptly left his alma mater of Florida after 12 years. People were pretty miffed here in Florida about the static between Spurrier and Florida A.D. Foley, which evidentially took the fun out of it for Spurrier and caused him to leave. But Spurrier did not just lose to bitter rival Florida State and cost his team at the National Championship. He also didn't leave until after the Gators played Mishitgan in the Outback Bowl at the end of the season.
It is a matter of class.
Spurrier is still a Gator and honored at UF even though he now coaches at SEC rival South Carolina. Rodriquez will never be held in such high regards from his alma mater.

I just read the full article... this Pete Fiutak is nothing short of an arrogant wanker... just like most of the ESPN "personalities" like Corso and Herbstreit.
