OK, this is what Bob Huggins did for our program in one year.
Just imagine 5 years from now...

OK, this is what Bob Huggins did for our program in one year. Just imagine 5 years from now... The future does look bright Jim, but the downside to having such a great coach and teacher of the game as Huggs is that we'll have kids leaving after their Freshman and Sophmore years. The days of having kids around for 4 years at WVU are over. I'm happy for Joe but damn it woulda been nice to have him back next year.

The better the player, the shorter time spent at college so I welcome all the 1 & 2 year players that Huggs will bring to Morgantown - it's going to be a great ride.

The real key here is quantity. The more blue-chippers you have in your program, the easier it is to replace a kid who turns pro. We are not there yet, but we are getting closer. You look at schools like Kansas, UCLA, UNC, UConn and Duke. They lose underclassmen to the NBA almost every year, but they have kids waiting to replace them.
The good news for me is I will only have to drive 70 miles to see Joe play in Milwaukee.

I didn't mean that comment to sound like a bad thing, I will welcome the quality players that Huggs brings in as well and look forward to him building a program where blue chippers want to play. I just hate to see kids leave early. Could you imagine how good college basketball would be if they had to stay at least 3 years before turning pro??!!
