Well, yet another rousing story of "Murphy's Law"
A friend of mine sent me an IM and was sad over the game and wanted to go get something to eat... so I came to get her and we went to Taco Bell... complete with me ordering in the Bill Clinton voice, a mean black bitch taking the late shift, a lot of mild sauce, and NO ICE in her Mountain Dew! Anyway, I take her back and we go inside for a bit to bullshit and also to see my other friend (the one I was previously fighting with.) Anyway, I go out to leave and I spot a tow truck in the parking lot! What the FUCK?! So, risking my very life, I get in between the tow truck/metal hook and my car and yell, "WHOA WHOA WHOA!" He gets out and said, "You're not supposed to park here..." I said, "I was only here for a grand total of 2 minutes..., let me just get outta here and we can forget this whole thing happened!" He said, "Nope, I've already called it in, I gotta tow you... you can pay me $75 now and I'll get outta here..." well, knowing that I had lost this battle (no $75), I go to my car to roll up the window and the asshole thought I was going to start the car and attempt to back out around the hook/truck and THREATENED TO CALL THE FUCKING LAW ON ME!... several times. He said, "If you're going to get an attitude with me, I'll call the law." I said, "No need for that..." I told him, "Look, pal, it's been a very bad night..." He said, "Yeah, I saw that game as well..." then said something to the effect of wanting to stab Pat McAfee for missing that field goal... yeah, that's real smart. He told me that he already called my car in and if he doesn't come back with either cash or a car, he gets written up. OK, like I care? He told me that I could pay $75 now... or $180-something tonight @ the garage, or $120-something tomorrow... something didn't seem right about that. So I head on home (Chateau is just a few minute walk away from my apartment.) That whole time, while angry, I kept thinking: "something didn't seem right about that...." so after tossing-and-turning and hating everbody and everything, I wake up this morning, did some research and found out I have to call the Public Service Commission of West Virginia.
I talked to some really nice dude named Dave @ the WVPSC office... I told him the exact same story I just typed out (sans bad language) and he agreed that something did not seem right. He's going to send me a complaint form, and I am indeed going to file it. Dave really calmed me down and explained what I have to do to get this resolved.
