The Offensive line finally woke up! I think this is by far the best game we've played all season! OK Big East! Here we come!

Very VERY good win!!! I'm not sure why our D can't make stops at the beginning of a game, though. That has been putting us into a hole all year! Oh well, very very few complaints tonight. I'm a happy Mountaineer fan!

To try to answer your question about the defense, Doug, here is my take. I believe it takes a while for the defensive coaches to determine what the opponent is doing and then make adjustments to stop it. If you agree with me, then that is a very good thing because it shows that our very talented defensive coaches are able to adjust to whatever comes at them.

My buddy Dan suggested that Doc Holliday was calling the plays... any thoughts on that???

The coaches are split up so that 2 offensive and 2 defensive coaches are in the press box. The rest are on the sidelines. Communication is the key. I believe that Doc is in the press box. Obviously he relays down what the opponent's offense is doing, and Casteel then calls the defensive sets. We have 3 coaches with experience as a defensive coordinator (including Dunlap), which is a very good thing.
