I'm gunna copy the comment I made on this video to here, and add a few things to it: Wow this video is great... brought tears to my eyes. I was too young to remember Jack Fleming calling games... but I'm never too young to appreciate him. Man if only he were around today to call some of the amazing moments of Mountaineer Football that has happened in recent years. I hate to bring up my CO trip yet again, but I think watching these YouTube vids of Jack Fleming's announcing, as well as the "Country Roads Tribute" totally revamped and amped up my appreciation for my state, my school and my team. People not born and raised in West Virginia just DON'T GET IT... "IT" being our endless love for our state, school and team... they just don't. And I wouldn't have it any other way. Let's go kick some Husky ass!

I remeber quiet well his vioce and how he brought the game right into my head with his discriptive words. He was a wonderful man and a great spokeperson for WV and WVU. I always carried a radio with me while deer hunting with earphones so I didnt miss a game on the air.. Or I would sit in a vehicle while the game was on not only to hear the game but to listne to the best annouince on the air waves each and every Saturday. I enjoyed reading the post his daughter made thanking those who had a god thing to say about her father. I bet she is a wonderful person like her dad,

Jack was awesome doing the WVU games and the Steeler games. I grew up listening to him. Back then most WVU games were not on TV so you either went to the games or listened on the radio.

Jack was, quite simply, THE BEST.
I also noticed on that same page was Coach Stewart's pregame talk for the Fiesta Bowl. If you just remember what our boys were up against in that game, it sends chills through my body to hear it.

That brought back some great memories of listening to the games on the radio. Jack was the best. What a vivid picture he could paint in your mind of the surroundings through his eyes. It is a great day to be a Mountaineer - everyday - anywhere - everywhere!!
