West Virginia senior punter Scott Kozlowski has been booming kicks all year, and his work was rewarded on Monday when he was named the Big East conference special teams player of the week.
Scott Kozlowski helped protect the Mountaineers’ 35-24 win against Colorado by averaging 48 yards on four punts with a long of 56 yards. He hit two third-quarter punts from inside the West Virginia 20 that tipped the field position battle to Colorado’s side of the field and pinned the Buffaloes on their own 8-yard line on a fourth-quarter kick.
For the season, Kozlowski is averaging a whopping 48.2 yards per punt, by far the best in the Big East. However, Kozlowski's stats are not listed by the league among the leaders, presumable because his 12 total punts (three per game) do not qualify him for inclusion.

Running back Noel Devine 's 220 yards were good enough for a spot on the league's honor roll, but deemed inferior to offensive player of the week Bill Stull's 242 passing yards against a toothless Louisville defense. Devine averaged 10 yards per carry and leads the league in rushing with 135 yards per game.
Where's the validity there? I guess one team can't get all the awards.
