I always like to find a positive from every situation. There are 4 positives from today's game. 1. We have 7 wins, so we are bowl eligible. 2. We will end up with a winning record (7-6). 3. I no longer get stressed out watching a game. Honestly, it didn't really matter to me if we won this game or not. Same as Coach Stewart. 4. Injuries to Jarrett Brown and Noel Devine provide the perfect excuse for getting killed by 35 points by Cincinnati this Friday.
1. Coaching - F. I've had it. I won't be going to any games. Way, way, way too boring. 2. Offense -F. 17 points against one of the worst teams in the FBS. 3. Defense - D. When Louisville had their starting QB and starting RB, they were a badd team. We played aganst their 3rd string QB (I could play as well as this kid) and 3rd string RB. 4. Special teams -Cminus. Good job by the kicker and punter, and a great idea to kickoff the ball out of bounds so they get the ball at the 40 instead of running it back for a touchdown.
This was unquestionably the most boring college football game I have seen in many years. Two very bad teams playing very badly. If Victor Anderson had played, or if the Cardinal punter could punt the ball more than 30 yards, we would have probably lost this pathetic game.

Gotta agree with ya, smurph, this was a boring game. Hell, my buddy sitting next to me was almost asleep several times... and a girl behind me said "Wow, this game is boring. I should have went home this weekend."

That about sums it up. Hey, the weather was great today for a football game. Too bad it was the yawnfest we saw. Stew did a lot of whining post game about injuries but I'm sorry, this team just isn't that good. I know we've had inuries, part of the game, and L'ville's third team QB and running back kept the Ville in the game all day long. A WALK ON THIRD TEAM QB at that. Jarrett looks completely off kilter. I love the kid for what he's done for WVU in his time here and appreciate his patience sitting behind PW, but in all honesty, I'm in favor of benching Jarrett and letting Geno finish the year to get ready for 2010. If we lose out, so what, we go to the scrub bowl and he gets an extra game. If Jarrett plays out the year and WVU loses, we go to the scrub bowl and Geno has no experience. Get Tavon the ball, the kid is a stud. Who knows if Noel comes back next season (I suspect not). I'm with Smurph, I can't even get upset about the team anymore. I went into that game today with a ho-hum attitude, just anticipating what we saw today and I wasn't dissapointed. I'll got to the Pitt game because, hey, it's Pitt, and I paid a lot of damn money for season tickets (probably my last for a while). But I won't count on wins. It likely will be very ugly this coming Friday. With that said, you watch WVU somehow pull together a complete game and pull off the upset. I'm an 'Eers fan 'til I die and I'll root for these guys in every game but I just won't expect much of anything from this point on with this bunch. Next season will be make or break for Stew, we will see vast improvement if he's the man for the job long term, or we will see more regression and I will officially call for the man to step down and let someone else take over.

LOL At this point I think we should try to steal Jim Kelly
I am so sorry.. It was hard to find ANYTHING positive about yesterday's game. And I also think that Maybe its time for Gino to come out and QB. Brown was ineffective and the play calling was horrible.

I'm pretty much done carrying Bill Stewart's water... I was one of his biggest supporters to the point where it was almost into "homer" territory... but, man... his style is obviously not doing it for us. Get rid of that damn offensive coordinator Jeff Mullen as well!
