The last time we checked, West Virginia was located in well, West Virginia. You wouldn't know that given the amount of time and success they're having these days in Ohio.
Bob Huggins and the West Virginia Mountaineers struck again and again in Ohio. Once again, in Columbus. On Thursday night, the Mountaineers beat the posse to Columbus (Ohio) Northland 6-foot-7 power forward Jalen Robinson. Akron, Miami-OH, James Madison and Kent State offered and other big boys were eyeballing him. However, Robinson visited two weeks ago and has been thinking commitment ever since.
West Virginia felt like home and I love the coaching staff,” Robinson said. “They have one of my good friends, Elijah Macon. Why not continue the good chemistry in college and dominate the Big East?”
West Virginia’s second commitment from the current sophomore class had to make Huggins smile when he told the coach how much he likes playing inside.
“They told me I could make a major impact as a freshman. They told me to work on my ball handling skills and ability. They asked me what I like to do best and I told them back to the basket and post up.”
