Archbishop Wood High School safety Nate Smith becomes the 20th verbal commitment in the Mountaineers' 2012 recruiting class, according to scout.com. Smith is the second commitment the Mountaineers received in the last two days.
Smith is ranked as a 3-star safety and had offers from Michigan State, South Carolina, Toledo and Temple. The 6-foot-0 athlete plays both safety and receiver for Archbishop Wood and becomes the third player from Pennsylvania to commit to WVU's 2012 class.
