Gordon Malone drafted in 97 by Minn. but did not make the roster. I think he played some for Souix Fall in the CBA. They also drafted him that same year.
Try again

I dont think there was another player drafted that year that played in any games in the nba Allow me to intervene. I believe what Larry was saying was that Gary Malone was also drafted by the Sioux Falls as well as Minn, not that the player in question played the same year as Malone.

Thanks Davey You are correct in what I meant. Sorry I wasn't clear.
I posed this trivia because I was surprised (NO make that Shocked) as to the answer
Just a little hint. The player in questioned was a teammate of Bob Huggins at WVU.
Now after all those years we expect Huggs to bring that streak to an end.
Hope this hint makes it easier

OK Ray you're in the right era now find someone drafted by NJ.
Mo didn't make the cut for opening day.
Huggins teamed with him only 1 season

Jerome Anderson, Boston Celtics

OK enough fun with that one. Jerome Anderson was drafted in '75 and played for a couple years. In 1980 Lowes Moore was drafted by NJ and played 2 yrs. Lowes was a freshman when Huggs was a senior. Lowes took over Huggs guard position the next year and started all games in 78 79 and 80.
What surprised me most was that it has been 28 years since a WVU player has made the cut. Good job Smurph. Take # 15
