If you're not interested in Kentucky-S.Carolina or baseball playoffs, ESPN is showing the Daphne-Foley (Alabama) high school game tonight. Both schools are loaded with future Division I players. And no, that's not Patrick White quarterbacking Daphne. It is his younger brother whom we are recruiting. They also have a running back named Reggie Hunt that I would love to see in a Mountaineer uniform.

No doubt, there is a ton of talent down here. Foley is about a 30 minute drive from here and Daphne is about an hour drive.
Even here in the western tip of Florida, we are HEAVY with great talent.. The two biggest names to come out of the area so far have been Emmitt Smith who literally grew up right down the road here. And Derreck Brooks of the Bucs.. He went to Washington High School.
Last year another Pensacola High School team, Pine Forrest went to the Florida State Championship game and lost to Lakeland High School. (I think)
In our region of NW Florida about 15 prep players signed letters of intent to major universities around the country. Football is taken VERY seriously here, starting at around age 5.
