Proboards offers a private message feature that I adore. Its almost like your own inner personal email here within the group.
Private messages are just that.. Private between 2 people.. Sometimes you don't wish to share every little thing on a public forum, so this is a VERY useful feature.
After you are logged in, you can check your private messages at the top of the front page or the bottom of the front page where all the information of who's logged in, Member of the month, etc.
Once you have clicked the icon of private message, you're in.
You have an inbox and an outbox and preferances..
If you would like a pop up message to tell you that you have a new message, or if you would like to have an email sent to you'e email address notifying you that you have a new message, you can make those options under preferences..
