1. Offensive line - 4 1/2 stars. Not the best team we'll face this year, but I was impressed. This group could eventually be as good as last season.
2. Quarterback - 5 stars. Overthrew a couple long passes. Otherwise almost perfect. Dare I say........this kid might be a better runner than Slaton. On his TD run, he broke 2 tackles where the defensive guy had him dead to rights.
3 Running backs - 5 stars. What a group! I feel bad for Ed Collington. Won't get much PT.
4. Receivers - 3 stars. Reynaud had a fumble and we are seeing RB's out in the passing routes a lot now. Most impressed with "Jello". He will help this team this year.
5. Defense (As a unit) - 2 1/2 stars. I saw speed to the football in the first quarter. After that, it looked a lot like last season. Our quick strike offense means our D spends a lot of time on the field. And I will give WM credit. They executed their passing game pretty well. They are not yet a National Champions defense.
6. Special teams - 4 stars. We missed an extra point and had a 6-yard punt off the side of McAfee's foot. But our kickoff coverage was very good and I don't think we punted more than twice.Our return teams look explosive. Expect a few to be taken to thehouse thisyear.
That's it. I predict either a 7 or an 8 in our score against the Blundering Turds. Our 2nd team will be superior to their starters.
