OK, before you guys bust on me I am by no means on the bandwagon to have Devine as the starter, Slaton is THE man, but we gotta get this kid more playing time. 136 yards on 5 carries is fucking unbelieavable. And this was not in mop-up duty, it was against a decent first team defense. God, I cannot wait until the day him and Slaton are in at the same time. I know he has only had a couple of months learning the offense, but we need to get him 10-12 carries a game.

Amen brother! That debacle with no points from the 2 year line was just plain awful. Why were Steve or Devine NOT in there?

Awful is correct, I have no idea what happened there. I never thought I'd see us come up empty on 1st and goal from the 2. I always thought that's about as close as you can come to a "sure thing". Everyone says Rich is not showing everything we have saving it for UL and Rutgers, and I agree with that to a point, but he needs to break it out soon or we may lose one before we get to them. I think the way they have played the past 2 years has us spoiled, anything less than a total ass whipping and we're dissapointed. East Carolina has done well against our running game the past 2 years so maybe we'll see something then.

I agree that he needs a few more carries, but I don't want him to be a starter. I did notice coach getting more confident in him. His carries and duties have increased each game. ANd that coming up empty from the 2 was not cool, we can't have that as the competion gets tougher.
