Can someone tell me WHERE it's acceptable to sit at someone's bar and NOT have a drink? And when I explain that since we don't have a cover charge and there is a one drink minimum, that if they don't buy, they have to leave, these people throw fits. I've been called a racist and many other names. I guess they confuse us for the Community Center!

Haven't there been court cases where people have been arrested for stealing wi fi at coffee houses without buying a coffee??
I know at airport bars, (one of the few places you can smoke in an airport) you are required to buy a drink in order to stay there.

Oh, I almost forgot Saturday nights other incident. I had heard these two fellas playing pool talking about guns. As one of them was bent over shooting, I saw why. THEY BOTH had guns on them. And they just didn't understand why they weren['t allowed to have them in the bar.

When I was djing full time at the club, there was one club I worked at, and the dj booth was near the enterance. I used to just let some music play and I would hang out with the bouncers and greet people, try to get the energy up and promote myself a little for parties and what not. Anyway - this always amazed me: there were always people who would come to the door, show there ID, then when it was time to pay they would haggle or try to get in for free. There excuse was that they weren't even going to be drinking. Now me, if it were my bar, I would charge extra to the ones not drinking, because they are taking up space for the ones that are. If you are not spending money in the bar then you should be charged extra at the door for the entertainment and what not.
