Yes, but methinks the Bulls D is MUCH better than ECU's. Something I'd like to see...Matt Groethe's butt on the Tampa turf many times.

The Bulls shut down our 2 favorite plays last season - the stretch option run and the bubble screen. I'm not saying we should abandon those plays. Sure, run them a few times. But there are other ways for us to go....i.e. mix it up. One, throw down the field. Two, run a couple reverses. Three, a big dose of Owen Schmitt up the gut.
Also, did you guys see the play in the first half where it appeared Slaton was getting ready to pass? He appeared to juggle the ball and the play broke down. So he did the smart thing and ran it. The announcer said he thought it was supposed to be a pass. Could we see that same pass option this week ?

I'm not too concerned with the heat, all four games this year have been in hot weather, I think even the night game at Maryland was in the 80's. I know the two home games have been in some real heat. The humidity will be higher there, but at least we're not playing in June or July. I know the weather will be different in Fla. but I think our conditioning is such that with our depth that won't end up being a game deciding factor for us.
With regards to the pass-option play for Slaton, it definitley looked to me like he was going to throw it then he bobbled the ball, tucked it in and ran with it, got a first down. Not bad for a busted play. I hope we see it again.
