Bell South DSL sucks..

Last night after work I got on here and I was ready to get chatty and start breathing some life back into this group..

I got one post in and my IE started acting scquirelly.. Page can not be displayed.. so I thought.. I need to virus scan and update and all that.. well I did all that and then I could not get online at ALL... Ugh.. did the bell south diagnostic stuff.. call this number with this code.. yadda yadda..

well it took over an hour just to get through.. All circuits are busy.. I fianlly got through and I got a message that Bell South was having a regional technical problem and they didn't know how long it would take to get fixed.. UGH... So I just went to bed and I HOPED I could get online this morning.

Apparently I can.. but I lost an entire evening.. Doubt I will get any sort of discount for my inconvenience.

MJ I was online hoping to talk to some of people also and there wasnt anyone on for the most part but me. So at least you got a good nights sleep huh.

MJ, I have DSL with Verizon (the old Bell Atlantic) and have had very few problems that was on them - most of my problems are old computer related or something that I screw up.

Is it possible to get a cable connection? Mine works great!

I had Sprint DSL for about a year or so before I left Florida, it was so-so. The main problem I had was I had to reset my modem all the time. I had cable before that and cable now and I'm much happier with it.

The DSL is really my best financial option as I don't have cable tv. I have Direct TV and the dick heads at Cox want to charge me about 70 bucks a month for 2 computer hook ups or a hook up with wifi.. I also have to buy their modem, wifi stick and its not cheap..

My DSL is only 30 bucks with wifi.. and my direct tv is 4 bucks a month cheaper because I bundle and usually the DSL works pretty good.. just have irritating blips sometimes.
