That whole thing was weird- 2 coaches that grew up within a stone's throw of each other in Marion County- the Bama fans on the scout and rivals boards went pretty much "postal (lol)" when Rich turned them down, but they got over their obsession quickly when Nick signed on. I think the Bama brass lost so much face over R-Rod that they just totally opened up the checkbook for Nick...

I agree even though so many of the bama faithful won't EVER admit that they were disappointed.

I give Saban 2 years and if he can't take them to the top 10 it will be off with his head.. those guys need to learn patience.
