I realize.. WVU played a FINE game on Thursday night. The defense stepped it up, and even if Maryland tried to shut down Pat White.. we had MORE than enough to not only get the job done, but done well!
The team did what was asked of them. The team has NO control over how well any other Big East team did. The team has no control over how pollsters vote for them.
They did what was asked of them and I am VERY proud of them.
If no one else is enjoying this ride, and seeing what we see every week.. well screw them.
LET'S GOOOOOOOO Mountaineers!

Well said. I have always agreed with Coach Rod, all we can do is win all of our games. If we do our part, then the rest will work itself out. We can only control our performance, and by god our our performances have been pretty. |

Looks like we're landing at # 5 this week. USC, LSU, Okla, and Fla in front of us is still mighty strong company. Season is still early and some of them will lose.

Glad to see everyone relaxed a little. Polls will settle down as we continue the season. Let's not get ourselves too caught up over what a bunch of fickle pollsters say and end up missing what has been and hopefully will be one of the greatest seasons of Mountaineer football ever! Being in the company of LSU, Fla and the like this early in the game, well I'll take it. Rutgers, Louisville and finally South Florida are in the top 25 and that will help the whole strength of schedule thing. The defense put together a fine effort against Maryland and hopefully it will continue to get better. We've discovered our little gem of a tailback in Noel Devine.
Here's to victory this Saturday vs. the Pirates of ECU.
Let's Go Mountaineers!!!!!!!!!

So Mj,
Does this mean you'll be more relaxed for the ECU game this Saturday? I didn't think so. Everyone here is right on. Let's enjoy this season, one of the greatest in Mountaineer history.

I'll try to relax... Its been stressful in every aspect of my life recently and I can't allow that to ruin my football season..
Sooner than we think the season will be over and we'll be doing the beer count down to football thread again. I have no doubt that WVU will be in New Orleans this year.. So we (I) need to savor EVERY minute of it.
