The latest Thursday on prospect Terrelle Pryor: There will be two high-profile visitors Saturday when Jeannette (Pa.) takes on East Allegheny in basketball.
Jeannette High officials expect Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez and Ohio State coach Jim Tressel to attend the game to watch the nation’s No. 1 football prospect, QB Terrelle Pryor. Recruiting efforts around Pryor have intensified as Penn State coach Joe Paterno and Oregon coach Mike Bellotti have visited the school this week.
LSU coach Les Miles visited last week. Those schools are believed to still be in the running for Pryor’s signature Wednesday, the first day recruits can sign national letters of intent.
Those five schools are believed to still be in the running for the 6-foot-5, 225 pound QB who many compare to Vince Young and is thought would be a perfect fit for Rodriguez’s spread-option attack.
Pryor’s position coach, Roy Hall, told the Cleveland Plain Dealer earlier this week that he had a gut feeling Pryor was leaning toward OSU.
