WVU’s Kuhn on watch list For the Times West Virginian
MORGANTOWN— West Virginia University baseball senior Tyler Kuhn has been named to the Brooks Wallace Award Preseason Watch List, which was announced Tuesday by the College Baseball Foundation. The Wallace Award is presented annually to the nation’s top collegiate baseball player. It is the only award to encompass the first pitch of the college season to the College World Series final in Omaha. Kuhn, a Louisville, Ky., native, started all 51 games in 2007, posting a slugging percentage of .483 with 211 at bats, and recorded a .958 fielding percentage. Kuhn hit five home runs and led the team with 52 RBI last season. The Wallace Award is a dedication to the memory of former Texas Tech player and assistant coach Brooks Wallace.
