Sam's Uptown Cafe and Impulse in Chi-town. In Motown it'd be Willey's/Vintage and Lola's.

Well, last semester it was my best friend's apartment on the Mileground. There was always beer in the fridge, cigars on hand, etc. Every Monday and Wednesday night, we would sit outside, smoke, drink, and just kick back and enjoy. We did so much off the wall sh*t...
In an unfortunate turn of events, their apartment caught fire during the Christmas break and they lost everything... it was truly tragic.

How tragic Jim..
I know lots of people that lost everything after Hurricane Ivan and though you know its just your stuff.. It takes a LONG time to get over that and back to normal
My heart goes out to your friends.

Crockett's Lodge in Star City...A little hole in the wall beer joint where the good ol country folk go to. It's my kind of place!!!
I do miss the Tiki bars along the Florida Gulf Coast though...they were great places to go and drink during the warm months!!

I also like some of the Hole in the wall bars.
Just down the road is The Angler, great pool tables, and darts, they also have video trivia, good food and GENEROUS mixed drinks.. A Bud Light is abuck seventyfive.
The Juke box is outrageously expensive though.
Then there's nelsons.. Cheap Pool, more costly mixed drinks, but the Jukebox Rocks and its cheap.
And one other of My favorites is The Reef.. They have a GREAT house band, The Land Sharks, a shuffleboard table.. pool tables and a seafood restaurant upstairs.

I am quite familiar with Landshark Beer, its Jimmy Buffets brew.. And though I agree that some beer tastes better with a twist of lime or lemon, and I celebrate them indeed.. The best beers don't need any added flavoring.. Sort of like The Sweet tea thing.
