Does your boss have rules about having your cell phone on at work, or being on the company phone?

Things are pretty relaxed at the Cook County Assessor's office. In fact, you may have noticed that most of my postings are during the work day at lunch time or during breaks.

Don't have a cell phone and since I'm such a good boy at work, I basically do what ever I want.

We actually cary our cell phones for emergency reasons. In case someone needs you, in a hurry, live radio can be that way some times. As long as you do your work and don't let the phone interrupt you or cause you to make a mistake, then you can use it. As far as making personal calls on our work phones I don't suggest it. We all have a pin code that we have to use to call out with (long distance) and a report comes in every month with your usage. But as a company our bill is over $10,000 a month, but that is what happens when you call internationally ALOT.

I kind of do what I want at my job. They don't mind as long as we don't overly abuse any perk. Hell, there's free soda in the fridge!
