No more 6AM baseball!! The A's beat the Red Sox today or tonight or whenever!! The kids came down to go to school and I'm sitting at the bar watching baseball!! Alex looks at me and said "Dad all baseball games don't start this early do they!" Just think of the 18 hour plane ride!! I feel for anyone that has to do that!!! Its kinda stupid to take a billion dollars worth of players and riisk them flying to Japan!! Yes I know players fly all over the US but thats not an 18 hour plane ride!!! MLB and the NFL are crazy taking regular season games oversea!! Just my thought!!

While it's an annoyance to the players, MLB and NBA taking their sport overseas makes some sense as so many of the players are from overseas. NFL, on the other hand is made up of 99% Americans and will not have the globalizing success of MLB and NBA. The NFL sure is going to try it, though. They have already games in London and have had preseason games in various other non-US cities. They need to back off of that. The rest of the world already has it's "football" and it's spelled "futbol".

Your right Doug!! But I can't really see risking a season or even a career over taking one or two games overseas!! Japan already has baseball an yes they like american baseball but they really love seeing their own in the majors!! They think they are showing us up by having a Japan player playing "Americas Pastime"!! With basketball They have the leagues in Europe so I'm not sure what they would really think of it!!

Honestly, I don't see how the NASCAR market is going to expand into the other "markets". After all, it is still 99% of southern boys drivin' around a circle to earn points and the cup and what not. I don't hate NASCAR, but I do like dirt track racin', yet I don't see southerners makin' their way into the hearts of the people of Japan.
South shall rise again huh? Maybe through NASCAR...Now MLB, I understand a lot of the players are from the international scenes, but a lot of these nations would prefer to support their own franchises than one from the United States. Heck, it's bad enough when I read the Daily Athenaeum and I see see an ad to take summer classes at Pitt!! And Pittsburgh is only 75 miles away!! Of course, us passionate folks hate Pitt too
