Good news fellas, when I went through my "divorce" I gave my apartment away, but I kept the dog, the cell phone, the car, and my dignity. On top of that, I am back in the Mountain State, so not all divorces are tragedies, mine was probably more of a heroic epic!!
So, dudes do not always lose in those battles...

very true, times are changing - when I divorced 12 years ago I got full custody of my son who was 3 at the time. back in the day, it was unheard of a man doing that.
