Well, it is getting down to the last days here in Colorado, just a little update on things:
I have been pulling more than my own weight on this project over the last two weeks... everybody else is either slacking or giving me a "C-" performance (I was named project supervisor until I leave on July 10th.)
This upcoming 4th of July (Friday), I am FINALLY going up to Denver to see Invesco Field at Mile High, the Pepsi Center, and to get tanked at a Rockies game (they are playing the Marlins, a division rival of the Braves.) The next day, I am heading back up to Pikes Peak.
On the 10th, me and my boss are going back to Iowa so he can attend the Iowa GOP convention (he is a voting delegate), and so he can purchase a new iPhone (and, consequently, I am buying his old one.)
On the 13th, I am boarding a Greyhound from Des Moines, IA to Parkersburg... and that will conclude my trip to Colorado and I will be back in West Virginia.
Keep an eye out for pics of Invesco Field, the City of Denver, the Rockies Game, and Pikes Peak (last time we went, my camera's battery took a shit and I couldn't get really good pics of the Summit, had to use my cell phone.)

Well, today is my last day in Colorado.
I have gained a new appreciation for my school and home state... I can now relate to Mountaineers that have had to relocate out of WV for employment...
My lazy ass still hasn't gotten around to uploading the Invesco Field pics on my Flickr account.
I'm so happy to finally be heading back to the place I belong... West Virginia, mountain momma, take me home, Country Roads! Almost Heaven indeed.

The day I have to leave West Virginia permanently (hopefully, never) will perhaps be the saddest day of my life.

Less than 6 hours, I will be boarding a Greyhound from Bumfuck, Egypt aka Des Moines, IA heading back to Parkersburg. I have a 2 hour layover in Chicago, but from what I have heard, I'm going to need every bit of those 2 hours to find my bus.
At this point, all I can say is: Country Roads, take me home!!!!!!!!!!!!

Made it back in last night around 11-ish. For the most part, the Greyhound rides sucked ass, BUT, yesterday, in Chicago, made a new friend, and I already invited her to come up to Morgantown for a game this fall. Boy, I work fast!
