All,
Next week after finals, I will be heading out west to DENVER, COLORADO to do political work for a non-profit organization. From May 15-June 15, I will be out west breathing thin air and advocating for an organization who I do not agree with 100%.
I will try to be on here whenever possible, but because my laptop took a shit and died, I will be relying on the kindness of my co-workers to use their computers.
This will be my biggest political payday to date. This is an opportunity I have been waiting for since I became a political consultant in 2005. While I am sad I have to miss some of my friends' graduation ceremonies, they have all assured me it's not that big of a deal.

OK, so here's a trip update:
Made it down to Charleston safe and sound. Doing work for Jay Wolfe (running for US Senate against Jay Rockefeller) up through Tuesday. Then, Wednesday morning @ 9am, me, my best bud Warren and my boss are ROAD TRIPPING it to CO... with a 2 day stop in Des Moines, IA (where my boss has his house.)
I was able to rent out a laptop from Rent-a-Center, and, believe it or not, my boss has pimped his car out w/WIRELESS INTERNET and 4 outlet plugs. So, no matter where we go, we will have internet access. :-)
I figured I'd keep everybody posted.

UPDATE
I am currently typing this out as we are ON THE ROAD! We are almost in Iowa (currently in IL) and let me tell you, the PLAINS makes me yearn so much for the Appalachian Mountains of West "By God" Virginia.
We made a stop in Pittsboro, IN to get gas, and I almost had a heart-attack when I saw the name of the road we were on was "Jeff Gordon BLVD." Then it dawned on me, "This is where he was born and raised!" I just regret not reaching for my camera in time. Oh well... there's always the way back.

OK, we made it safely to Colorado Springs... we are staying in a ghetto-ass hotel... just a quick laundry list of shit wrong with the hotel: No remote for the TV, the shower head came off when I tried to adjust it, the chain lock on my door is broken, clear packing tape is holding together a light switch, the doorhandle to my room is broken...
and all I could do was laugh about it!
