As a parent, you gauge the milestones of your chidlren's advancement in this world around us.. First Words, First Steps, First tooth, First Day of School, and there are countless firsts as they get older..
Today my oldest son Ryan had a first.. It was his first car accident. He's ok.. He sneezed and he jerked the steering wheel hard right when he did it and hit a divider on an onramp on 1-10. He didn't total it.. and it seems there isn't MUCH damage..
But it Does have to be towed.. And he'll be carless for about a week or so.

"Enterprise will pick him up"
(seriously, glad the car was the only thing that got dinged up and not Ryan)

Also very glad he wasn't hurt.. just his pride..
A couple weeks ago, an acquaintance of mine.. His kid was riding bikes with his younger brother and he saw a car coming at them and he pushed Cody out of the way, but took a head on with the car..
After a week or so in the hospital and brain surgey.. He finally passed away.. He was cremated yesterday...
cars can be fixed and replaced.. People can't.

Glad to hear your son is okay. Pride heals much more quickly than bones.
Sorry to hear of the loss of your friend MJ.

Hey with owning a car dealership a saw a lot of kids that had their 1st crash!! If he is okay thats the most important thing!! But if he learns at a early age that things can happen that fast then he is going to be good to go!!!
