I consider myself to be open-minded. However I am really unhappy that the Democrats in our Congress don't have the guts to take on the Telecom companies (and eventually the Bush administration) over their ILLEGAL eavesdropping of American citizens phone conversations, but rather think sweeping it aside is OK. I welcome all opinions on the subject.

Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) pointed to a constitutional concern.
"The grant of retro-active immunity is inconsistent with our basic principles. We are breaking with a very proud tradition and intervening in a pending court decision in an effort to reach a preordained legal outcome. This is a bad precedent," he said.

As a Libertarian Conservative Republican, I have to say, THIS IS FUCKING UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!!This is what I have to say to The Bush Administration, and the Democratic-controlled Congress:

Is it possible ? Our country is being run by gutless, money-pandering, birdbrains who feel it is within their rights to gut our United States Constitution. (And I am not talking just about the Bush junta).

I've been extremely uneasy about this and a LOT of the basic rights that The Patriot Act have stripped American Citizens of. All in the name of "terrorism" . This country is not a democracy, or a republic anymore.. We are an empire lead by an insane dictatorship. I have NO IDEA how this crap happened today. I am extremely upset with the Dems in congress.. What the hell were they thinking??
