OKexcuse me if I brag a little bit at first then BITCH the other part of this post.
On the good side Jake competed over this past weekend at a national BMX race in P ittsburgh, South Park, he ran in 3 motos and if he qualified he would compete in the main with a national title on the line. First motto, Jake won but narrowly, a kid from Michigan came close to beating him. There were 4 kids total racing each race. 2nd motto same result, Jake won. It was fairly close though. 3rd motto. I was in the staging area volunteering helping the younger kids keep in their respective lines, this kid's dad was there with his son, the one from Michigan, the dad didnt look at me the whole time. I saw the dad saw something to the kid. Anyhow in the motto the kid bumped Jake and Jake wrecked and came in 4th place for that mmotto. I saw the bump and I thought it was intentional but Jake has to be the one to protest the race and not me. I thought what the hell its racing and Jake qualified for the main anyhow. The main. comprised of the same 4 kids. I told Jake to pedal harder where he pedalled and the kid wouldnt be able to touch him. Sure enough that is what happened, by the 2nd turn Jake had a 20 to 30 feet lead on the Michigan lad and the kid came off the track bawling. His dad was pissed and I was standing there with my WV baseball cap on yelling WAY TO GO JAKE. So yes he did win another national title . The second day of racing got rained out and the results for the day 1 was carried over to the second day.
On Sunday, we packed up and started home. On the way home we had 2 flat tires on the travel trailer we were towing. With the wife bitching at me for 3 hours and wating for the service guy to arrive and fix the tires was a NIGHTMARE. and an extra 325 that I wasnt planning on spending. Now I have to replace the other 2 tires on the camper because I found out that they are the wrong tires to begin with. I bought the camper used and the previous owner had put passenger tires on it instead of trailer tires.
I am gald to be home everyone is safe and emotions have calmed down some.
