In Florida they are not legal to BUY but they are legal to set off as long as there isn't a drought going on.
Fortunately here the fireworks happy people can go to Alabama 10 minutes away and get all the fireworks they care to purchase.

Illegal in Illinois but everyone does them anyway. Cops don't really care. You can get them in Wisconsin or Indiana.

Fireworks that stay near the ground (loud, sparkles., ect) are legal in Ga. Anything that shoots high in the air are illegal. Those we get from S.C or Ala. Cops don't care unless they get a compliant then they give a warning. Of course by the time another complaint come through, we are finished anyway.

I think most things in Texas are legal. I haven't looked into fireworks regulations, but there are tents set up all over the place selling them.

You can't buy the good stuff in WV and I think it's illegal to set the high shooters off but no one really cares. I know a guy that usually goes to either NC or SC to get the good ones.
