I know I have been distant and not really around much lately, and for that I am sorry. I have a friend with cancer, another friend about to be a gramma for the first time, and work has been more than a clusterfuck with the roller coaster ride.
However, I am pleased to announce that after chemotherapy since February which is a hell on earth, my Friend Pam is Cancer FREE!
Let me say that again.. Pam is Cancer Free!!! ;D
She still does have to go through a course of Mostly Prevenative ratiation therapy. But radiation is a cake walk compared to the Chemo.
She's not out of the woods yet.. BUT there is at least a light at the end of the Tunnel... And for the first time in MANY months I have seen a friend that is so dear to me Smile.

I can definitely relate, MJ. My parents visted me for 7 days this past week. My Stepfather was diagnosed with Leukemia a couple years back, but it is under control. Then in May, 2007 he was diagnosed with kidney and lung cancer and told he had less than 12 months to live. Well, he eventually had a kidney removed and now gets chemo once a week. He is actually doing better and 15 months later he has proven the doctor wrong. Every day he stays alive is a bonus to us (especially my Mom).

It's always nice to hear some news with happy endings and tonight I heard two! MJ, glad your friend Pam is out of the woods and Smurph, you too with your stepdad.
MJ, on your absence, I figured you were working doubles at the hospital or something like that - welcome back!!
