once you say something the damage is done and apology or not does not erase it from all who heard it

I don't see how his comment relates to RR's job at Michigan, and even so, it's just an expression, and it's honestly a true statement! Hitler was a great leader in that he was great at getting his people to follow him. Obviously his ideas weren't great, but it's hard to argue he wasn't a great leader.
I don't like Mr. Holtz, but to punish him over this comment is FOOLISH!!

Doug, Holtz's intent is as you descibed it. But, you could see how somone would take it out of context and say he is comparing Rodriguez to Hitler. This is what politicians do all the time. There are much more legitimate reasons Holtz should not be on TV than this comment.

Haha... dead-on, Smurph about Holtz not needing to be on TV for other reasons...
Having said that, could we extract another apology from Dr. Lou... for being such a douche??

We are way to concerned with being politically correct, I see the comparison and think I prefer Hitler to Howdy - Doody. I really don't have a problem with Dr. Lou, other than he can't talk too good and he was associated with N.D. Maybe we need a Hitler type to get the errrrrrrrrr's focused. I think I would be happy if we only beat Pitt and N.D. and Michigan never win again, ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Holtz would stick to serious analysis, he would be bearable. His attempts at humor, his pep talks, and his game predictions are all pretty pathetic.
