Okay guys and gals this one has been up for a while so I will spill the beans.
On September 6, 1997, the Mountaineers trailed East Carolina 17-10 in the third quarter when Homestead, Florida's Nate Terry ripped off a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. The run established a Mountaineer Field record and tied for the longest return in WVU football history. On November 15th West Virginia hosted Big East doormat Temple, and Terry returned the game's opening kick-off 100 yards for a touchdown, becoming the first Mountaineer to return two kickoffs for a score in the same season.
