I was talking to my friend Dawn the other day about the origins of my name and how my name was supposed to be Lisa, but my mom's cousin had a baby girl just a month before I was born and she named her daughter Lisa.. So I got named after my grandmas, not after pot like many people still believe..
I wonder if my life would be different had I been named Lisa..
What do you all think?
Were you supposed to be named something different?

I was a II (Jr) and when my 1st son was born back in '65 my wife (at the time) said anything but the III so we went with Billy Ray. It's funny how people's first name really fits them and anything else would seem out of place.
...and MJ, back in my smoking days I never called it your namesake - it was always weed, grass or pot

Well, I was named after my father (I am a II, not a "Jr.)... I couldn't imagine what life would be like if I had a different name.

My parents were going to name me John Holmes, but the name didn't seem to fit.
