Major League Baseball hasn't forgotten about West Virginia University quarterback and Miami Dolphins rookie Patrick White.
The New York Yankees selected White in the 48th round on the third and final day of MLB's first-year player draft. He was the 1,455th player chosen.
It's the fourth time White, who was a center fielder in high school, has been taken in baseball's draft. The Angels took him in the fourth round out of high school, but he opted for a football career at WVU; he was selected again by the Angels, this time in the 24th round, in 2007; and the Reds picked him in the seventh round last year.
