During Mountaineer Football or Basketball..
I am pretty sure we've all experienced some outspoken memories as we've watched WVU play.. What are your most memorable experiences, good, bad or ugly?

I guess one of the most awkward moments for me as a fan at the stadium happened my freshman year in the fall of 1987. We were hosting the Backyard Brawl and back in the day ALL you needed to get into the student section was show a PRT card that they punched.
Well since I am about equidistant from Pitt to WVU , we had friends that SADLY had chosen to go to Pitt. They came down for the weekend and we didn't have a problem scoring 3 PRT cards to smuggle them in to the WVU student section. The PROMISED to be good in out student Section.. But we got there and they didn't. They were hooping and hollering for Pitt. I was terrified that they would have been scooped up and passed around and heaved over the back of Mountaineer Field like a beach ball.. But they didn't.. Maybe because they were cute? Maybe because we lost the game 6-3.
They DID take quite a bit of ribbing, but Mountaineer Students allowed them to live.

My fondess memory is of the 1975 WVU Pitt game, when Bill McKenzie's 38 yard field goal beat Pitt 17-14 as time expired at the old Mountaineer Field. I was begging my dad to let me run onto the field. Unfortunately he wouldn't let me. I also remember the huge fire in the middle of the road on Shadyside(?) after the game as we were leaving. Good times!!
I'm going to have a new one in about two weeks when I get to finally go to a WVU game in the New Mountaineer Field. I can't wait!!

Sunnyside?
I really have too many to list. But here goes:
1. This one is bittersweet. It was the 2007 UConn game. In 2006 I traveled to Morgantown for the USF game. We lost and I didn't get to sing "Country Roads" after the game. We made it back for the 2007 UConn game and we destroyed them, wrapping up the BE title, and I got to sing "Country Roads." I also knew that all we had to do was beat a pathetic Pitt team the following week and we would be in the NC game. Oh well. 2. Gator Bowl following the 2006 season - what a great comeback. 3. I was also at the Pitt game when McKenzie kicked the winning field goal. 4. 1978 Peach Bowl - we kicked the Gators' ass. Too many more to mention.

FOOTBALL 1) The epic Rutgers game in 2006 when Jarrett Brown led us to victory. 2) Gator Bowl on Jan. 1, 2007 3) Making out with some girl in a random RV before a game after discovering that the owners of the RV already went to the stadium. 4) Pat White's last game as a Mountaineer in Morgantown (boy was it cold.)
BASKETBALL 1) The NIT tournament games in Morgantown during Spring 2007 2) Sleeping in the Coliseum lobby all night for the Pitt game in February 2009 3) Waiting all afternoon/evening/night outside of the Coliseum to get in to College Gameday 4) Getting rejected by Erin Andrews after the WVU-Louisville game March 2009 (same day as College Gameday) 5) Court rush vs. UCLA (2007), Court Rush vs. Pitt (2008), and court rush vs. Villanova (2009.)
So many fond memories.... when I return to WVU next year, I will add to this list.
