This site is more deserted than a Mountaineer Rich Rodriguez Fan Club meeting. We are right in the middle of basketball season where both the men & women are having great success but there are times when there has only been 2 or 3 of us in here during a 24 hr period.....

Right you are Ray. Same thing happened last year. Is this site for Mountaineer fans or just football fans at the end of the year. I know members are looking but we need to log in even if we don't post. It will help to encourage those who do, however we all need to post more during this slow period. Even if it's just to say you agree, or not, log in and post A LITTLE

Yeah, I should be here more than I have been in the past few days. Been busy with school, Peephole Sports, as well as purchasing another humor-based website. Stay tuned for that one.

Alright, I've had a bit more time to think about this:
I know we complain about this all the damn time, but, geez... it makes me mad. I came to this board with 5 other people: Chris, Dan, John, RL and Beth. None of them post here anymore. I know RL went back to Mountaineer Nation/OldGoldnBlue... everyone else just stopped posting here abruptly (of course, I don't talk to Chris or Beth anymore for different reasons-- I won't go there.) I'm not trying to turn anyone against anybody or create enemies, but, these are the facts.
Everyone else has disappeared either to Facebook or off the face of the earth; Mary Jane ain't around, Davey's been gone for ages; I realize people have shit pop-up in their lives every once in a while, but at least drop in and say "hi" every once in a while. Hell, where's Doug been? If memory serves me correctly, I think he's teaching online classes or something.
I guess I'm just frustrated that this board isn't as jumpin' as it first was when I came here. I think it's time we had a staff meeting of some sorts; whether in the Staff Lounge or the board's chatroom.
That's all I have to say about this. Just airin out my frustrations. The only reason I post here as opposed to BlueandGoldNews.com: I don't have to dig through horseshit here.

My personal life sucks big time, maybe that's why I'm here so much just to escape reality for awhile. I got the important things covered like having Dayton and Katheryn and my health (considering having quad bypass in '99 and a defibrillator installed in '05) but financially I'm struggling since the divorce as now I got more going out than I got coming in but then again I'm sure there's many worse off than me so I try not to complain. This site has been a release in sorts for me but lately it's been pretty lonely in here.

This is my form of stress relief too. Also I think it helps with the homesickness I still get 25 years removed from living in the state. I try to keep things going here as best as I can. I'm not sure how we could either attract the old crowd back - I have personally sent e-mails to people who used to be here - or a way to draw a newer crowd in. Does anyone have any ideas to kick around on how we can prime the pump so to say. Sorry to hear about your situation Ray. I know the big 'D' is tough to get over - especially for guys it seems. I'm still dealing with residual effects from mine and it has been over with for a few years now. Hang tough brother! It is always darkest before daylight.

Well, I hope you guys don't leave. Myself, I pretty much post when I am at work, when I'm not too busy. The twins, WVU sports and the in-laws take up all of my non-work time. Some have pointed to facebooks, etc. I'm sure that is part of it. I will tell you that when Ray or Jeff posts a sports column I always read it and sometimes comment. Thanks for keeping that going.
I still post on CBS sportsline. It may sound weird, but it is sometimes more interesting to read the posts, insults, and different views on there, so maybe two of us should get into an argument (just kidding).
As far as the difficulties in our life go, believe me I can relate and I definitely have empathy. I had a horrible divorce 28 years ago, and had a lot of tough things happen to me in a 5-6 year period. I trudged my way through it and it seems like everything is really great right now. I sometimes feel like I deserve all the good things I have now because of all the difficulty I had to endure. I'm sure I appreciate the good things more than I would have if I didn't go through all of that bulls--t. I guess everyone has good and bad in their lives. Right now the bad is knowing that my parents and my wife's parents will not be around too much longer and probably won't see the twins in their adult life, and the emotions surrounding these future events.
In summation - there are a lot of good things out there which will happen to you. We just don't know what they are or when they will happen.
