HUNTINGTON - Marshall Coach Doc Holliday dismissed three members of the football team Wednesday morning before conducting the first practice of camp.
True freshmen Antwon Chisholm, Fred Pickett and Mike Fleurizard -- all newcomers recruited by Holliday -- are no longer with the team, the first-year coach said.
"We have high expectations of our players and these three have not lived up to what we require of a Marshall University football player," Holliday said. "They have lost the privilege of playing football at Marshall and have been dismissed from our football team."
Chisholm, a running back, and Pickett, a wide receiver, were expected to contribute on offense. Fleurizard was a defensive lineman.
Pickett had originally committed to WVU before Doc went to Marshall. The word is that they beat up and robbed a pizza delivery guy.
