I agree Jim..
April Fools day has ALWAYS been big in my family since the boys were WEE little.
As they grew older, it got harder, and we all KNEW It was April 1st.. So ya had to time your evil plot and REALLY sell it for it to really be believed..
Last year I had the BEST April fools gag on my 16 year old son Alex..
It was about 3 in the afternoon.. it was a Sunday last year, so we had both been home for the day. He was in his bedroom playing runescape or SOMETHING on the computer.. and I figured it out.. He was distracted and off guard..
HE HE HE HE
I ran down the hallway from the kitchen yelling and screaming like a freaked ond frantic person.. "OMG OMG, there;s a big Snake in the kitchen.. Alex do you have a Big Box?? We have to get this snake outside.. Hurry hurry!!!" As I'm panning around the room looking for a box..
He found a box in his closet.. it had all his yugio cards and other stuff in it.. He dumps it on his bed in a frantic tizzy.. (he's already owned by now, but I have to carry it one step further and it just about killed me not to bust out laughing yet.. )
We creep down the hall quietly.. I whispered, "he was right by the sink.. Be prepared for anything" You have to turn a sharp 180 to get into the kitchen, and h's creeping along, shaking with this box in his hands..
As soon as he turned that corner I chimed.. "April Fools!!!!!"
He was SOOOOO PISSED off with me, he went back to his room, slammed the door and didn't come out for hours because I lured him out with dinner..
Later that evning though, he was out in the living room watching the simpsons or something and he got up for a drink and I was on the computer and I asked him to please grab me a beer while he was up.. "Sure thing Mom." Apparently the little bastard shook up that bottle of beer pretty good when he was in the kitchen, so when I cracked it open, I got a HUGE beer shower..

HAHAHA! He really got you back for the snake earlier... I was able to manage a few wind-ups on some people this year... however, because I didn't do "proper prior planning (prevents piss poor performance)" this year, my ultimate wind-up will have to take place next year. Of course, at the same time, who said the fun has to be limited to one day a year?
