Sorry to bring everyone down, but I thought you might like to know why I've been so quiet. This past weekend my dachshund stopped eating. Sunday night, we found a HUGE lump in her belly. Took her to the vet yesterday, he just said how worried he was, and that she needed an ultrasound. She's at UPenn Vet Hospital right now having it done. I'm a very nervous and worried Daddy. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

She's home with a special food. UPenn didn't want to do the ultra-sound without other tests that would run into the thousands. They weren't as concerned, though. They gave her fluids and she has a bounce back in her step. Eve and I wil take her Tuesday morning out to Langhorne for the ultra-sound.

Thanks, friends! I'm just about as tired as I've ever been. It's been something else trying to get her to eat, and wondering if she'll be able to keep it down. Tuesday morning can't get here fast enough.

It was pancreatic cancer. She's gone. I'm very sad, but relieved it's over.
